The MADS committee invites you to join us for our new look Progressive Supper. This is for MADS members only so if you want to join in you’ll have to join us. Phone Ali Hodgson if you want to become a MADS member – still only £7.00 per family!

We couldn’t find a date in the autumn so we’ve decided to hold our progressive in the summer – but it’s a progressive with a new twist. Read on:

Midsummer MADSness - progressive with a twist Saturday 16th June 2012

Choose which course of a three-course meal you would like to prepare (starters are usually reserved for members outside Marchington) – for 6 people (including yourselves) with wine. If we have a lot of people wanting to do the same course a little juggling may be necessary but we will endeavour to give everyone the course they have requested. Confirmation of your course will be issued a week before the supper.

Everyone will meet for starters at The Grange, Draycott in the Clay. If you are preparing a starter, please take it and wine for six people to The Grange.

At the end of the starter we’ll open the envelope that sends each couple off in different directions for the main course. And after the main course we’ll split again fro pudding.

After pudding, everyone will meet for coffee in the village hall, where there will be music and dancing for those who can still stand up. Do bring a bottle to the village hall if you want to carry on drinking as none will be provided there.

7.30pm Gather for starter at The Grange
8.30pm Leave for main course
10.00pm Leave for pudding
From 11pm Gather for coffee in the village hall (coffee will finish 2am latest)

Please note, anyone who requires a special diet (e.g. vegetarian or doesn’t like seafood, etc.) should include this information when returning their forms.
MADS members are getting a newsletter with the form included. Everyone else, apply to Ali Hodgson who will email it to you, once you’ve joined MADS

COMPLETED FORMS AND MONEY IN BY FRIDAY 1st June

Dear Supporters

Many thanks to those of you who came to support “Aladdin” recently. We have had lots of positive feedback from audience members and fans of MADS. The hugely successful panto made an astounding profit which helps fund equipment for MADS, other productions and social events for members, so
thank you for helping us to keep MADS going for the benefit of the members and the community.

Next year MADS will be 90 years old so watch out for celebrations to mark that important milestone.

In the meantime, we will be performing our spring production on March 22nd-24th. “Move over Mrs Markham” is a farce by Ray Cooney and John Chapman. The play is being directed by Gill
Scarlett, assisted on production by Christine Gibbs.

Please also put June 16th in your diaries for the new look “Midsummer MADSness” – a progressive supper with a difference. More details to follow closer to the occasion.

By joining MADS you can become involved as much or as little as you like. You could act, produce, direct, get involved in lighting, sound, costume, make-up or props. You may simply wish to come along to the socials and plays. There is no pressure on members; you participate as much as you want. It's a really great way to get to know people in and around the village, and membership allows you entry into the progressive supper and first choice of tickets for all socials and performances.
